In an entryway, the Crystal Foyer Ceiling Light does the quiet work. It is a minimalist fitting in glass that settles into the space instead of reorganising it, with a colourway kept deliberately neutral so everything around it can change.
Entrance scale, semi flush fit
The semi flush fit gives an entrance real presence without hanging into it, which is the whole problem with lighting a hallway or a landing. Scale was the hard part: big enough to register at the door, small enough not to crowd the space.
Layered crystal for depth, not flatness
The crystal is layered rather than laid flat, so the fitting has depth when it is lit and when it is not. Glass was specified for wear rather than for the photograph, and the fittings are concealed so the crystal is what you see.
A bright, even wash
It casts a bright even wash across the space instead of pooling light under itself, which is what an entryway actually needs. Glass does not warp, mark or discolour under normal use, and cleaning means a wipe with a damp cloth, no special products and no ritual.
