The Éclat Wall Lamp is a contemporary wall lamp designed for a hallway or a bedroom wall, where it has to look considered and still survive being used every day. The details that cost money, edge finishing, weight and tolerances, are where it differs from cheaper versions.
The surface carries wabi sabi texture with French restraint, so it reads as handled rather than distressed for effect. There is no visible branding, which is deliberate. The texture is the whole design, so nothing was added that would compete with it.
The pull switch means no wall plate is needed, which is what makes it usable beside a bed where a separate switch would be one more thing to fit. It keeps its finish through ordinary handling, and a damp cloth resets it when needed.
The output is soft light made for a headboard, close enough to read by without turning the whole room on. Scale was the hard part: large enough to register on a wall, small enough not to crowd it.
The finish was chosen to age in the room rather than to look new for a month. Straightforward shipping, no installation trade required, and an easy return if it misses.
Free shipping on every order, with most orders arriving within 12 business days. You have 30 days from delivery to arrange a return on unused items in their original packaging.

The surface is worked rather than sanded smooth, so the piece carries the quiet irregularity of something made by hand.
Most textured finishes are pressed in from a mould and start repeating every few centimetres once you have noticed it. This one stays restrained enough to read as material rather than as a pattern applied to material.
Up close it rewards the second look.
The lamp carries its own pull switch, so there is no separate plate to fit beside the bed.
That single detail is what makes a sconce usable at a headboard. Without it you are either wiring in a wall switch or reaching across the room for a lamp at the worst possible moment of the evening.
You reach up and the light is simply there.
The output is set low and kept warm, close enough to read by without lifting the whole room.
A brighter fitting in the same position wakes whoever is next to you and turns a bedroom into a corridor. The point of this one is the last half hour of the day rather than the middle of it.
Lumrae tuned it for the quiet end of an evening.

A textured wabi sabi surface with a soft matte tone. It is worked rather than polished, which is the point of the piece.
A pull switch on the lamp itself, so no separate wall switch or plate is needed.
Beside a headboard, in a reading corner, or along a hallway where soft directed light suits better than a ceiling fitting.
Soft and warm. It is designed for evening use rather than task lighting.
Very little. A dry brush or cloth over the surface is all it needs.
