In an open plan space, the Luméa Ceiling Light does the quiet work. It settles into a room instead of reorganising it, and the details that cost money, edge finishing, weight and tolerances, are where it differs from cheaper versions.
Two globes, balanced light
Two opal globes give evenly balanced light, so a wider room is covered without a bright centre and dark ends. The gap between the two globes was set so neither one overpowers the other. There is no heavy bar between them hiding the wiring.
A slim brass arm
The slim brass arm carries no bulk, which keeps the fitting reading as a line rather than a fixture. Day to day it holds its shape and finish rather than fading into something tired. The finish was chosen to age in the room rather than to look new for a month.
